I wouldn't be where I am today if it wasn't for the support I've had along the way
Every time you sing or play - you help someone else do the same.
I'm so grateful for the support I've had over the years. And the opportunities that have arisen and been presented as a result of other people's belief in me. It's only right that I do the same for others- and Pay it forward.
I cannot imagine a life without Music and the Performing Arts. It's who I am!
I want to help others have opportunities they might never have dreamed of. That's why I'm proud to have supported the future of young performers through The Theatre Royal Plymouth (TRP) as well as two other very important organisations- Changing Key Dorset (for which I'm a Trustee) & The Awards programme for Young Sounds UK
Like me, these fab places help to remove obstacles and realise potential for future generations. of musicians & performers. Learn more about what they do, and how you can help future generations by clicking the links to their websites.

I can still remember the early morning 20-mile bus journey for my favourite part of the summer. Rehearsals for shows at the Theatre Royal, Plymouth (TRP)! The delightful smell of the sausage rolls I used to grab every morning, as I got off the bus is something I'll never forget.....
..... and the friendships formed, the confidence I gained- and the outstanding commitment and determination I witnessed, and was lucky to be part of.
For many years, every summer of my youth was spent immersed in the world of Music and Theatre. I wanted to take after my big Sis. I loved to perform and couldn't wait for summer to appear again.Through the endless support of various adults- hosting workshops, summer schools and incredible performances. The Theatre Royal played a huge part in my voyage as a performer. Signing, dancing, playing- various roles and shows. If you're one of the adults who supported me over the years- THANK YOU!
Many years later- it was time for me to Pay it Forward and make sure that future generations get the same opportunities and access to the Arts. COVID-19 hit everyone hard- but the Arts sector is still one of the biggest hit even after four years. It will be a tragedy if the support for Arts for young people continues to be cut and courses & venues closed, due to increased lay-offs and various unforeseen measures that have been implemented over the last few years. That's why I'm proud to have supported the Plymouth Theatre Royal Legacy Fund during COVID & now, the continued funded efforts of joint generations at the Theatre Royal & the production & learning centre TR2
Former performers at TRP joined together during COVID lockdown to support each other and lift spirits. See videos below. These were to kickstart the campaign of raised awareness to promote support of the arts and the change that future generations would face if something drastic wasn't done at the time. Luckily, the funded target was reached back then & the theatre remains open. As you'll be aware- many other venues & courses have not made it through. It's time to change that.
